Residential Recycling

A recycling dumpster is available in the parking lot behind the Municipal Building for residents to drop off their recyclable materials at any time. Please refer to these guidelines to help ensure a successful recycling program for our township.

The Hunterdon County Residential Recycling Program is held at the Hunterdon County Transfer Station/Recycling Depot, 10 Petticoat Lane, Annandale. The Transfer Station is open Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday, 7:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Information on acceptable items is available on the Hunterdon County Solid Waste and Recycling Services Residential Recycling Program webpage.

Smoke Detector Recycling

Your old smoke detectors can now be recycled at the Hunterdon County Division of Health in Flemington. Smoke detectors can be dropped off at the Route 12 County Complex Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. More information can be found on the Hunterdon County Solid Waste and Recycling Services Smoke Detector Recycling webpage.

Battery and Cell Phone Recycling

Rechargeable Batteries can be recycled at the Lebanon Township Municipal Building. A drop box is located in the Administrative Office lobby. Rechargeable batteries include Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn), and Small Sealed Lead (pb). Non-Rechargeable Batteries (alkaline dry cell batteries) such as AA, AAA, C, D and 9 volt no longer contain mercury or hazardous components and therefore may be disposed of in your regular household trash.

Cell phones can also be recycled at the Municipal Building. Place them in the same drop box as household batteries. We accept any size, make, model, digital or analog, with or without batteries. Cell phone accessories are not accepted.
