Now Accepting Applications for Law Enforcement Officers

The Lebanon Township Police Department is now accepting applications for "Special Law Enforcement Officer III", (SLEO III).

  1. These positions are for school security/resource officers only.
  2. Applicants must be retired, in good standing from a Municipal, County or State Police agency.
  3. Separation of duty must be after July 1, 2015.
  4. Call (908) 638-8523 x203 to schedule an appointment to pick up applications.
  5. The process will close when positions are filled.

Alarm System Registration

If you have a residential or business alarm system and have not registered or updated it with the Police Department, please stop by headquarters or call for a registration form. There is a one-time fee of $10.00.

The Lebanon Township Police Department is in compliance with the New Jersey State Attorney General's Directive (#2018-6), "Directive to Strengthen the Trust between Law Enforcement and the Immigrant Community". Subjects wishing to apply for a "T" and/or "U" Visa, are encouraged to call (908) 638-8523 x203 for instructions.

Animal Control

Our Animal Control Officer’s duties are coordinated through and in conjunction with the Lebanon Township Police Department.

For found, confined dogs (i.e., on a leash and/or secured) with an affixed license, or for animal bite incidents, or to report lost animals, or wildlife issues, call Lebanon Township Police at (908) 638-8515. Wildlife issues may also be referred to NJ Fish and Wildlife at 1-908-735-7040.

For found, confined dogs without an affixed license or for other domestic animal concerns contact Laura Roerig, Animal Control Officer (ACO) as follows:

  • Call (908) 537-7663 (Glen Manor Veterinary Hospital). Veterinary staff will take your information from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Mon - Thurs, and 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Fridays.
  • For after hours and weekend non-emergency situations, leave a voice mail. Messages will be answered during regular business hours.

Please be advised that Animal Control is not an emergency service. Dangerous or emergency situations should be reported directly to the Lebanon Township Police at (908) 638-8515 or 9-1-1.
